Conor McGregor<\/a><\/strong> has confirmed that he plans to fight in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, setting out his next career move as his UFC contract approaches its end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

McGregor <\/a><\/strong>has one fight remaining on his current UFC deal after his comeback against Max Holloway at UFC 329 ended when he suffered a torn ACL in the opening round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BKFC president David Feldman<\/strong> has already discussed the possibility of McGregor <\/strong>switching promotions once that final UFC appearance is completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We’ve had those conversations in the past,” Feldman <\/strong>said. “He’s very, very focused to come back for his last fight, and then he’s going to come here [to Fenway Park] and sell this whole f****** stadium out.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conor McGregor confirms BKFC intentions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

McGregor<\/strong>, who is a part owner of BKFC, has made clear that he doesn’t intend to remain on the sidelines once his UFC obligations are over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“If you think I’m up here giving these speeches and leading these men into battle and I won’t step in there myself, think again,” McGregor <\/strong>said. “For sure, Conor McGregor will fight in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. Mark my words.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has also insisted that a novelty appearance wouldn’t be enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I’d like a world title in this company,” McGregor <\/strong>added. “I would wish to be the Bare Knuckle world champion. That is a significant belt to hold in your career.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Civil case defines McGregor’s reputation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Any discussion of McGregor’s <\/strong>attempted but underwhelming sporting comeback also comes against the backdrop of serious events away from competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In November 2024, an Irish civil jury found McGregor <\/strong>liable for assaulting Nikita Hand<\/strong> in a Dublin hotel in 2018 and ordered him to pay nearly \u20ac250,000 in damages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hand had accused him of rape and assault, while McGregor <\/strong>denied the allegations and maintained that the encounter was consensual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His attempt to overturn the verdict was rejected by Ireland’s Court of Appeal in July 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
